Your previous programming experience in C, Java or C# will be beneficial in grasping the basics and you’ll feel right at home developing an app for iPhone or iPad. There are development platforms that can make it easier for web developers to transition to mobile platforms, but it is advisable to invest time in actually learning the programming languages for iphone mobile platform.
On iOS, this means learning Objective-C and also learning Cocoa Touch.
