It is a process of identifying defects throughout the software development life cycle by the virtue of verification and validation. An individual who is responsible for testing the software throughout the SDLC in multiple ways is termed as a Software Tester or a QA Analyst. The primary goal of the Software tester is to develop effective possible ways to test the software for which he/she is involved in writing test cases and test scenario. Software Testing being a planned activity, QA analyst is involved in developing a plan document for carrying out testing in various phases of SDLC which is called as Test Plan.
